recurring themes
I spent the Thanksgiving holiday trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing with myself, an ongoing dilemma that maybe I should have a better grasp of at this point but apparently do not. As it turns out, though, Thanksgiving is a pretty good time to do such a thing. I had the ears of family and friends, who generally like me enough to indulge my broken record introspection, and they're all kind, smart and sufficiently open-minded to entertain an array of possibilities and share their own experiences.
It helped, immensely. And in particular the acknowledgement on everyone's part that not knowing what the heck you're up to is really just inherent in being alive. Good to know, right?
So I came out the other side of Thanksgiving feeling a little more solid and happy with some clearer direction. Recurring themes are community and home, following opportunity as it arises, and a reminder to be true to ourselves as authenticity is good for everyone's soul.
All good notions to keep close through the holidays and into the new year. I'll be out and about the next couple weeks, selling art and handmade goods at Studio &'s Bizarre Bazaar and at a special Pop-Up at Beehive in Mancos featuring my work (details below). I hope to see you and if you want to share your strategies for figuring out what the heck you're doing with yourself, I'm all ears.
Happy holidays and much love,
~ Rosie
