ROSIE CARTER is a visual artist and printmaker. She lives and works in the Four Corners region of southwestern Colorado where she explores its history and rugged rocky beauty in her every day life and work.
Conjuring up ideas and convictions pulled from this remote desert landscape she spins them into pieces of art ~ from small functional notecards and notebooks, to prints on recycled tin and t-shirts, to mixed media print installations and recycled metal sculptures.
Working with screen printing and mixed media at her studio, and letterpress at the Mancos Common Press where she’s the Shop Manager, Rosie makes art pieces that are beautiful, useful and unique to her creative vision. They capture the tenacious beauty of out-of-the-way places with delicacy and grace.
